A few months back I outlined what the fascist blog, The Daily Bale had said and done when it made an extraordinary libel against the Globe pub in Leicester.
Today the Leicester Mercury has revealed that a 20 year old man has been arrested in regards to this. In unrelated news, the man behind much of the Daily Bale’s blog, Facebook and Twitter posts, Joshua Bonehill, is 20 years old.
So the suspect has been released on bail. Considering the weight of evidence again the Daily Bale I don’t see the suspect getting away with this one.

I was a UKIP candidate and I was smeared. The police proved i had not made those comments and that picture of me caught in motion reaching out with my left arm is so obviously nothing at all, anybody who studied WW2 in Primary school could point out that it wasn’t a ‘nazi salute’. The whole thing was not just an attack on me, it was a malicious attack against ukip by EVERYBODY that threw fuel on that particular fire. I didn’t lie to you or your circle of nobodies, I even believed you were a genuinely nice lady until I learned that you were a troublemaking troll. Perhaps I tried to cast doubt on what I had already told you in case you were to use it to further wind josh up? You gave josh credibility and I thought at the time I had treated him unfairly and have him the benefit of the doubt. And believe it or not, in person for the most part josh came across as a normal, smart young man who wanted to make a positive difference somehow. Trust me, that guy is a good liar. He does what he does to play people against each other and attack anybody who he thinks has turned against him. That analysis posted on bale out really is spot on.

Anyway all of that is sort of a mute point. Glenn, come next Friday it looks like you are going to have to decide whether or not you are going to retract the slanderous nonsense you have written about me on your blog. I agreed to wait until boneheads case had passed, either you can remove it and apologies, or I can explore legal means of doing so. You do not seem to realize the seriousness of the accusations you have made and the harm they can do to an innocent person. Believe me, I know first hand how badly published lies can mess up a life.

It’s been interesting reading all this UKIP infighting and the fact that there’s an awful lot which is, as yet, unknown or in the public domain.
I don’t think you’re an innocent party in all this, nor do I frankly believe the ‘my arm was in motion’ nonsense as there’s enough evidence flying around to show you’ve got some unpleasantly far right views.
If the case decides that Bonehill acted alone and if it’s a case you really, honestly had nothing to do with the Bale then I’ll be too glad to add an amendment to the blog to say that.
However let’s see exactly what’s said and done.

The only thing I have accused you of, Maggie, is being untruthful about your position in relation to UKIP. I have spoken to plenty of senior officials who say the same thing about you. the omly defender was your mate misty who confirmed that you were friends but ge said that your membership had ‘expired’Can you prove that you are a member? I don’t know what else you think you are suggesting me of accusing you of but that is that all comes to mind. I’ve seen a screenshot of a profile in my name which had accused you of being a paedophile if that is what you are referring to, but Ithink that the profile picture sourced from google and the occupation of ‘grand master at Masonic lodge’ should probably point to who that was.

Glenn, I can’t say I see any infighting here, besides what i know to be the case with Maggie, I no longer give a damn as far as politics is concerned. Where is this ‘evidence’, Glenn? I know there have been a series of fake profiles in my name spouting nonsense, all reported to the police. I don’t hold any ‘far right views’, nor am I even right wing. As I have repeated many times, I have always been a center wing libertarian.
Please answer this; why would somebody throw a ‘nazi salute’ sat down, leaning forward, with the left arm with a blurred hand in a pub full of people and a landlord that would have barred somebody doing that? If that person also spouted racist views, why would he then report it to the police? Furthermore, if that person had been involved with something like bale, why would he also have reported that to the police? How would he have managed this after falling out with the self proclaimed ‘founder’ of said ‘publication’ and having not had contact with him for a month before the thing even came into existence? The most important point, considering by this point the police have all evidence gathered for prosecutions, why has this person not been questioned/arrested or charged if he was involved? You need to answer these points and you need to show me this ‘evidence’ you claim shows ‘extreme views’.

Considering there’s now a civil case to come from Maggie Chapman I don’t think this is over yet. As for your evidence, it’s still very much a ‘he said, we said’ situation but we’ll see what happens when all these cases are over and done with.
As for extreme views, if you stood for UKIP, you supported extremist views.
Let’s see what happens on Friday and then wait for the civil case shall we?

Maggie, I have not accused you of anything besides that. im afraid you cannot sue somebody for saying that you are not a member of a political party. I have not and do not have a platform from which to publish libelous material from either. Do you care to expand on what you think I have done? I am we’ll aware that there have been accounts created in my name by Josh, again I reported the ones I knew about to the police. I cannot and will not be blamed or otherwise held responsible for the actions of others. I wish you every bit of luck in any civil case against Joshua, although given that he is unemployed and living solely on state handouts, I fail to see what you hope to gain. You must be loaded if you can afford to sue somebody simply to make a point.

I was wondering when you would try and kick the can down the road, Glenn. No, we can wait until Friday and the police findings are made public after bonehills case is done with. Don’t forget, as I had no involvement besides giving a statement as a complainant, I am not on trial. If I had been involved the police would have found that one out in the forensics process and at the very least I’d have been questioned under caution because that is how police procedure works. That has NOT happened. I know that I have not done anything wrong, your assertion that I am a far right extremist on the basis that I stood for ukip is bloody stupid and at the very least I’d be taking Maggie’s word with a pinch of salt. There will not be a civil case against me because there is no basis for one
So Glenn, after Friday and the fact that i was in no way involved with bale, (which is what we are talking about here) becomes clear, this is what will happen. I want you to remove Any posts about me and amend any posts which mention me. I’d also like you to issue a retraction and an apology on your blog. Failure to remove the libelous content about me on your blog and I will be left with no choice but to explore legal means of forcing you to do so. I will wait one week from the outcome of Joshua’s trial. I have been very patient and I don’t think you are an unreasonable person, so I don’t think we will have any problems. Thinking I am ‘not entirely innocent’ or ‘far right’ on the basis of the party I stood for are not a defense or justification for the absolute crap you have written and accused me of.

Oh and just to clear up the evidence issue. I have stacks of pieces of evidence which proves my innocence in the accusations made against me during the elections, as well as in relation to this.
The reason none of you have seen it is because I am not posting it online as much of it is of legal sensitivity. It has been looked at by the police, ukip and others and it is in the hands of solicitors. Real evidence, legally speaking is far more than a series of screenshots which could show anything ranging from comments made by a cloned account, something thrown together using photoshop, something made using statusclone or a combination.

What are you going to do? Sue me? As said, you won’t get anything in return, and frankly, you’ll waste your money but then I understand you’ve been throwing the threat of legal action around like confetti.

I see that Joshua has now effectively moved on to cyber terrorism by blackmailing sites on the back of a threat to take them down. Maggie, I take it you know the page owners in all cases. I urge you to advise them to report this to the police ASAP. I am quite certain that this falls under the misuse of computers act. Take full unedited screenshots and URL’s of a) the posting on bale, b) any personal messages from Joshua or his aliases and c) take full screenshots of any page removal notifications and previous URL’s. of course, not telling anybody how to suck eggs but cite any related crime ref numbers and include anything relevant. If people want to really see this nutter held to account by the law then focus is required. Counter-trolling, giving him any sort of attention, threats, arguments, over examining the names fake and real which he throws out to attempt to remove heat from himself and all of the rest of it are counterproductive and playing into his own hands. Lets not forget that the only reason that we are having this discussion because somebody knew that you lot would not be able to resist a conspiracy theory with my name attached to it. He gets his attention, he gets to cause problems for somebody on his hitlist, it’s an all rounder.

I can’t say I blame you, Glenn. My experience of knowing josh in person was for the most part was quite different from what we are seeing now. I really do try to see the best in everybody, I do not hold prejudice against any individual and I certainly do not judge them on past mistakes if there is good reason to Believe they are A reformed character. Still, life is full of surprises and whether or not he is a far-right hitler wannabe or simply an attention seeking troll, he is certainly completely nuts and at the very least in need of professional help if not imprisonment. Unfortunately those that give him attention are his enablers and their reactions have been giving him the ammunition and attention he needs to continue with whatever he is playing at.

Is that speaking to an actual officer or just an operator on 101? If the latter, it pays to quote the particular laws in relation to the complaint, as well as explaining that it is part of an ongoing trial so therefore extremely urgent. It may also be worth reporting directly to avon and somerset police as opposed to your own local force as they are the ones leading investigations and prosecutions. I’ve already told your page who they need to talk to on a seperate occasion.

The best thing that can be done is to stop discussing this now, at least until after Friday. Maggie, please tell your friends on BALE out to cool it off and to respond to Joshua, warn others on twitter to do so also if possible. Let the police and the criminal justice system do its job, they are the ones who need to get him the help and attention he needs, not you and not people with social media pages. I wanted to keep quiet for as long as I could because I did not want to egg him on because giving an attention seeking troll what he wants is like trying to put out a candle with petrol. Unfortunately it seems like you lot have done a very good job of doing that yourselves.

Glenn, allegedly the idiot has had his case adjourned again for another three weeks, although I’m waiting for a news article rather than trusting anything he claims. i am not too sure what he hopes to achieve by kicking the can down the road, delaying the inevitable.
The question I put to you, is are you going to do the same? Or perhaps you might come to the obvious logical conclusion that the idea of me having any involvement with the activities of that cretin are utterly ludicrous. Anybody familiar with Boneheads insane ramblings can tell you that the instances where I’m accused of saying anything read exactly like him and not one bit like me. You have nearly a hundred examples of my writing syntax on here at this point, so that shouldn’t be too difficult to spot. Furthermore, I am all too happy to provide you with further info and anything else at your request to prove my non involvement privately via email. You surely must appreciate that there is an awful lot that I am unable to simply publish online in order to back up what I am saying, for a multitude of reasons.
Unlike a certain person, Like any reasonable person i do care what people say and think about me, which is why I don’t do stupid reputation damaging things in the first place, as well as always fighting to clear up any misunderstandings. I am going to stick by my promise of waiting one week from today in order for you to remove the libelous material against me. I can still wait until bonehills sentancing for my apology, but next friday i will be seeking legal advice. Might I suggest to you that you could always temporarily unpublish any mention of me until you are satisfied that things are set in stone either way? If you believe in the notion of ‘innocent until proven otherwise’, I think that would be a reasonable thing to do, don’t you?

Okay, thanks. I don’t blame anybody for mistakingly thinking that I had anything to do with it and i give the benefit of the doubt up to the truth becoming blindingly obvious. I wanted to ignore it initially. I was not even aware of most of what had gone on until late October! Joshua knew that he could wind things up for me again, (perhaps even by repeating something he might have done a year ago, who knows?) and in a way, by turning off the computer, removing my social media accounts and turning a blind eye, I gave him free reign to do so. I have been and still am all too happy to discuss things in more depth privately

I would like to share this as a related point. in my view blogging, posts and pages raising awareness are effective in warning against trolls and idiots looking for trouble and attention like Bonehill. Contacting the authorities and reporting any unlawful activity is also a must. however, social media boards, pages, groups and discussion forums where people can contribute, including the trolls themselves can actually worsen the problem as they give such people a platform for their idiocy. Unfortunately the Internet is teeming with veteran keyboard warriors like him and well meaning but naive folk who are all to keen to share their opinions make the mistake of believing that by confronting trolls, they can somehow change their attitudes, beliefs and win an argument. The fact is, the troll either believes almost religiously in a particular subject, or they believe in nothing at all (like josh) and play devils advocate every time in order to get a rise and wind people up. This becomes frustrating to the point where people will eventually end up posting something they will later live to regret and even end up in trouble themselves. I think this is the problem that UKIP has, they are not fascists, racists or extremists and at the national conference i saw people of all ethnicities and backgrounds, no sign of any skin heads! What they are is amateur, they are not polished and professional like liblabcon. Those parties seem to be full of sex offenders, fraudsters, terrorists/bomb makers, thieves, violent thugs and god only knows what other species of criminal. That is unfortunately a fact of life in British politics, But never mind any of that, because some ukip members make the odd non-P.C tweet after a few pints! The Internet is not a particularly safe place and it never has been. Accessibility and social media mean that everybody uses it and with that, people have a false sense of security. The reason why i would not actually do any of the crap attributed to me, besides actually being a reasonable, decent bloke is that I am not an idiot. I understand the forensics, I know what happens and as trolls eventually realize, the consequences are severe. There is nowhere to run, nothing can be deleted or hidden, anything posted is published to the world forevermore. What is Joshua’s true M.O? I am not sure we will ever really find out, but he clearly does not appear even slightly concerned with the consequences of his actions, nor does he seem remorseful towards the damage he causes. What I have learned from this is that I really didn’t know the guy at all and I have realized that he was never really my friend. I am beginning to believe that he was only interested in feeding off of the attention that I was getting. If he did have anything to do with what happened to me, it would have been out of jealousy, as well as to create that attention in the first place. It certainly fits in with everything he has done since. There was a brief moment back in April where I suspected him after he had told several media outlets that he was my ‘representative’ and my ‘campaign manager/agent’, (which he wasnt, my father was my election agent) releasing statements on my behalf, which I had to put straight. Stupidly, I brushed it off and thought he was trying to help me, despite being unhelpful. I certainly think this goes much deeper than what seems to be every bodies presumption that he’s simply some sort of far right nutter.

I don’t know why you guys are so bothered about the daily bale, it’s just a news website that is a great propaganda tool. It’s not a movement or organisation, a political party or anything like that. Sure we have an emailing list of a few thousand people but that’s just it.
The time to worry will be when Joshua Bonehill does create a nationalist movement, I guess the daily bale is just sewing the seeds.

Stop feeding the troll. People need to ignore him and stop paying him the attention which he is using to massage his over-inflated, deluded ego. Let the courts deal with him and report anything additional to the police. He will soon learn going the way he is going that writing a book or whatever he thinks he will be doing inside, is the very last thing that will be on his mind. He needs to grow up, realize that it is only himself holding him back and not other people. He has to give back before people will even think about giving him a second chance. Plenty of charities need volunteers and that reference can make all the difference. Just sayin’.
