What I thought of The Li’l Depressed Boy: Supposed To Be There Too #5

Thoughts about #1, #2, #3 and #4.

Last issue LDB was told by Spike that she was moving, and this issue starts with LDB telling Spike he loves her.This is obviously a massive thing by LDB but this ends up well for the pair as they’re finally drawn together after issues of fannying around.

LDB and Spike get back to work at the cinema, with LDB getting on with it, and Spike to hand her notice in. It’s all very matter of fact and that’s the glorious thing about this comic. It tells the daily struggle and the mundane nature of life and the stuff we have to do so well not to mention so touchingly.

There’s an ending of sorts in this issue, but this opens up a lot for LDB and Spike in the shape of the rest of their lives, but obviously things aren’t going to go smoothly, after all, real life never goes smoothly……
