One of my weekly joys is sitting down to watch Lords of the Long Box on YouTube. It’s one of the best comics channels on there, and isn’t full of ‘influencers’ trying hard to push prices up of comics and generally be incredibly annoying. The hosts, TVO, especially was just an ordinary bloke who liked comics & although retailers were on the channel plugging their own variants not to mention the entire show was about discussing prices on the CovrPrice site, there was a love of comics as a hobby and medium missing from many of these influencer channels.
Last week he suddenly passed away due to a heart attack & the family organised a tribute show on YouTube. It’s a shame, not only will everyone miss him but the comics world has lost one of the major fan figures of recent years & at a time when the hobby is developing.
